The Acclimation Ritual Program: Small Group Session

$800.00

To acclimate is to adjust to. It is a concept more complex, nuanced and sacred than we may realize. Some find that it is helpful, following times of perhaps unwelcome change, to learn a new language, one that can give a voice to the otherwise “unseen” pain that becomes part of the selves, and subsequent methods of coping, that we adopt after trauma of one sort or another.

The 8-week small group curriculum of The Acclimation Ritual is the sharing of teachings derived from Sankhya philosophy (yogic roots involving dualism and the study of the self), spirituality and modern day scientific explanations about how we, as humans, resolve the existence of pain & loss.

The lecture and workshop style sessions are accessible for many, but especially appropriate for those who:

  • have experienced loss or trauma and who have already worked alongside a counselor, therapist or supportive Community (remember, this is not therapy, but a beautiful complement to your healing journey)

  • want to develop a more thorough understanding of how our bodies hold and carry our experiences

  • seek a deeper dive into the Yoga Sutras but are not ready for formal Yoga Teacher Training

  • serve and support the mental, emotional and physical well-being of others

The spring 2023 small group schedule is as follows:

Initial Call: Story Sharing & Intention Setting (60 minutes)

(Between 4/10 - 4/15 as scheduled 1:1 with Katie via Zoom)
